KNICK Uniclean 700

In many measurement applications, pH sensors are prone to contamination, corrosion, and abrasion. To maintain their effectiveness, regular cleaning is essential. However, fully automated sensor maintenance systems have often been too costly for widespread use.

Automatic Sensor Cleaning with a Modular Approach

Knick has introduced the Uniclean 700 series, a modular control system designed for quick, cost-effective installation, making it an ideal entry-level solution for automated sensor cleaning. This innovative system complements Knick’s existing Uniclean 900 and Unical 9000 control units, which are integral to their cCare system for fully automated cleaning and calibration.

Flexible Configuration Tailored to Customer Needs

The Uniclean 700 series offers a high degree of flexibility due to its modular design, allowing for easy customization to meet specific customer requirements. Despite its flexibility, the system’s compact design ensures straightforward installation. The Uniclean 700 is suitable for both static and retractable fittings, with pneumatic operation currently available and hydraulic options planned for the near future.

This cost-effective solution is particularly well-suited for use in wastewater treatment plants and metal processing, where sensors face heavy contamination and wear. Additionally, the Uniclean 700 series excels in food production environments, such as sugar factories, where sensors are frequently encrusted.

An Entry-Level Solution for pH Sensor Maintenance

The Uniclean 700 series provides an accessible entry point for the automatic cleaning of pH sensors across various industries. Unlike the Uniclean 900, the Uniclean 700 models do not require specialized control software in the Protos transmitter. The cleaning process can be initiated via a simple switching signal, such as a relay contact from a Stratos Multi and Protos II, or a basic pushbutton. The Uniclean 700 series is also compatible with third-party transmitters and fittings.

The modular design allows for easy modifications, enabling the system to adapt quickly to process changes. Components can be reused, and parts like valves can be replaced swiftly and effortlessly. All necessary components are available separately, allowing for the final configuration of the Uniclean 710 and 720 models to be completed on-site. The Uniclean 730 model comes fully assembled and ready for immediate use.
