CFS25 Coriolis Flow Sensor

Coriolis CFS25

Accurate Mass Flow Measurement for Real-World Applications

Product Overview:

Foxboro® CFS25 Coriolis Flowtube

The Foxboro® CFS25 Coriolis Flowtube combined with the CFT51 Digital Coriolis Mass Flow Transmitter forms an advanced I/A Series® Mass Flow and Density Meter. Utilizing the principle of Coriolis acceleration, this system provides direct mass flow rate measurements of fluids without the need for external temperature, pressure, or specific gravity measurements.

Key Facts and Features:

  • Foxboro® CFS25 Coriolis Flowtube and CFT51 Transmitter

Economical Design: Ideal for typical applications in the chemical industry.
  • Density accuracy of ±0.0005 g/cc or better.
  • Wide Rangeability: In excess of 100:1 without sacrificing performance.
  • Dual-Path and Single-Path Designs: Dual-path for standard applications; single-path for shear-sensitive fluids and applications requiring positive cleaning.
  • Hazardous Area Certification: Designed for CSA, CSAus, ATEX, and IECEX hazardous area locations with CE mark.
  • High System Accuracy:
    • ±0.10% of flow rate plus flowtube zero instability for liquids.
    • ±0.50% of flow rate plus flowtube zero instability for gases.
  • Construction:
    • Welded 304 stainless steel enclosure.
    • Nickel alloy (equivalent to Hastelloy® C-22) available for some sizes.

Applications:

  • Chemical Industry: Economical and precise measurement system suitable for typical chemical processes.
  • Versatile Fluid Measurement: Can handle liquids, entrained air, non-Newtonian fluids, viscous and abrasive fluids, slurries, and liquefied gases.

Benefits:

  • High Accuracy and Reliability:
  • Advanced digital signal processing (DSP) minimizes operational shortcomings.
  • Immunity to external pipe vibrations and entrained air.
  • High accuracy over a wide range of fluid densities.

Robust Design:

    • Advanced finite element analysis (FEA) technology for flowtube design.
    • Annealed process-wetted welds.
    • Hydrostatically tested at 1.5 times the rated maximum pressure.

Operational Efficiency:

      • Continues to operate during two-phase flow without zero drifting.
      • Suitable for batching from empty and partial empty tube conditions.
